The Central Valley Falcons were the 63-49 winner over the Willows Honkers when they last played one another back in January of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Central Valley was outmatched by Willows on the road and fell 63-35. Central Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Central Valley's lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Vincent Vanpal, who scored 17 points. Vanpal scored a full 48.6% of Central Valley's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Sanderson, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals.
Central Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Willows, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Valley will take on Corning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Willows won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Maxwell at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
