This season hasn't been kind to the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans, who are still winless after their 23rd game. They were beaten by Lewistown 68-13 on Monday. Bushnell-Prairie City has not had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
It was another big night for Landry Smith, who scored 23 points along with eight steals and five assists for Lewistown. Smith continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Lexi Kruzan was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Bushnell-Prairie City's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Lewistown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bushnell-Prairie City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Blue Bullets at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Knoxville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Lewistown, they will head out on the road to face off against the Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
