On Wednesday, the St. Louis Crusaders faced the Mililani Trojans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. St. Louis walked away with a 41-28 win over Mililani. The victory was just what St. Louis needed coming off of a 69-47 defeat in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, Mililani saw an underclassman step up: Timothy Dorn scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Roman Gabriel, who scored four points.
St. Louis is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Mililani, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
St. Louis won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kamehameha Maui on December 21st. Mililani's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kamehameha Kapalama at 12:00 p.m. on December 21st. Kamehameha Kapalama will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
