The Wakulla War Eagles won against the Taylor County Bulldogs on Thursday with 44 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Wakulla came out on top against Taylor County by a score of 44-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wakulla.
Wakulla was led to victory by Amariyah Donaldson and Kyendra Thomas. Donaldson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Thomas dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Thomas has scored at least 25% of Wakulla's points. Another player making a difference was Xzaveria Robinson, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Despite the loss, Taylor County still got an impressive performance from LeeAsia Johnson, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kourtney Jackson, who scored 8 points.
The victory got Wakulla back to even at 2-2. As for Taylor County, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Gadsden County the next time they take the court. Taylor County will host Gadsden County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Wakulla will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
