The American Christian Academy Patriots lost against the Sipsey Valley Bears back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Alice Burroughs and Molly Barger certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Burroughs scored six points along with five rebounds, while Barger dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Barger.
American Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Sipsey Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Northside's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so American Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for American Christian Academy. Sipsey Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Northridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
