The Philo Electrics will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Morgan Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Morgan took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Philo, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Philo escaped with a win against Shenandoah by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48.
Drew Wright was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Talon Preston, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Morgan came up short against Fort Frye on Tuesday and fell 63-50. Morgan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Philo's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Morgan, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Philo skirted past Morgan 57-55 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Philo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
