The Thornton Trojans lost against the Northglenn Norsemen back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Thornton ended up on the wrong side of a tough 46-25 walloping at the hands of the Norsemen.
Thornton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Camryn Montelongo, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Julionna Sandoval, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Thornton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Northglenn, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thornton will take on the Olympians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gateway has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19. As for Northglenn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bear Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Norsemen in Colorado (the Bears are ranked 113th, while the Norsemen are ranked 232nd).
