Eaglecrest lost to ThunderRidge back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Raptors put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Eaglecrest not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept ThunderRidge between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-16.

Anayah Rucker paced Eaglecrest's offense, picking up eight kills. Rucker were helped by Natalia Jarzebczyk and Caitlin Lengefeld, who contributed 17 assists each. Taylor Slothower controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The win got Eaglecrest back to even at 1-1. As for ThunderRidge, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eaglecrest will host Lakewood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for ThunderRidge, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Columbine at 6:00 p.m. The Rebels will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight.
