Scout Gilfillan turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Monday. He struck out five batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Gaffney is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-12 otherwise.

Even though Gilfillan couldn't lead Gaffney over Boiling Springs, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
