Pace has gone 9-1 against Gulf Breeze recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Patriots will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Dolphins at 6:30 p.m. Pace is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Pace's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Northview.
The result came thanks to Hannah DeMarcus's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gracie Ueberroth, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Pickard, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gulf Breeze, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against T.R. Miller on Thursday as they made off with a 15-2 win. The game marked the Dolphins' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Ally Keown tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Sally Alberson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ava Gruber, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.
Gulf Breeze always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Pace's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Gulf Breeze, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Pace has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Gulf Breeze struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
