Houston found their leader in underclassman Avery Kingsley, who scored 22 points along with four steals. Kingsley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. Aubry Boldt was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Houston has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Southland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Houston will head out on the road to challenge the Superlarks at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Grand Meadow's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. As for Southland, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Burros at 7:15 p.m.
