It was a good run, but Century unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Cairo Pilots, falling 89-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Centurions have suffered since February 5th.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Cairo, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Century will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hickman County at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Century knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Hickman County likes a good challenge. As for Cairo, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Varsity Opponent on Saturday.
