It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Interboro had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Frankford Pioneers a 19-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for the Buccaneers, who have now won 17 matchups in a row.

Jules Bergen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Summer Burrell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Vanessa Harrity was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Interboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .923. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .393 or higher in three consecutive games.

Interboro's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Frankford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Interboro will square off against Northwestern Lehigh on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Buccaneers 2.2, the Tigers 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Frankford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
