Softball Recap: North Central Has No Trouble Against Clinton

North Central owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Clinton Red Devils as they made off with a 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Addie Bittner made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josie Jackson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Lillian Hope Alexandria Bell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

North Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Clinton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11-1.

As of now, neither North Central nor the Red Devils have any future games scheduled.
