West Stanly made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,946 from 10,796. The improvement was the result of a 34-26 victory over the Colts last week.
Mount Pleasant's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Austin Parker threw for 70 and 2 touchdowns and Ty Pruitt had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Denzal Gilmore contributed 204 yards. Tristan Coggins helped Mount Pleasant's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 20 yards.

Gilmore provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Mount Pleasant lost to the Trojans. Gilmore's favorite target this week was Pruitt, who caught 3 passes for 37 yards.
Parkwood's Grey Wyrick and Sam Mobley have formed a dream team this season, leading 2A Conference 9 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Wyrick has thrown for 740 yards this season, while Mobley has 21 catches for 463 yards. Gilmore from Michael Johns' team leads the league in rushing with 559 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Central Academy takes on Monroe. The Cougars are currently in third, while the Redhawks are in first.
