The biggest upset of the week belonged to Morristown-Hamblen West, who defeated 80th ranked Morristown-Hamblen West, 43-35.
Tanner Sise of Seymour ran for the longest rushing play in AAA District 2 this season against Cocke County last week. Sise's team beat the Fighting Cocks as he sprinted for 78 yards on the play and finished with 136 in all.
Seymour's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nick Sexton threw for 149 yards and Braxton Dockery had 84 yards receiving. Larry Kennedy helped Seymour's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 40 yards.

South-Doyle moved up to 49 from 75 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAA District 2. The Cherokees climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Jefferson County 28-14.
