The matchup between Center Line and South Lake on Friday hardly resembled the 14-12 effort from their previous meeting. The Panthers enjoyed a cozy 41-24 win over the Cavaliers. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Center Line to victory, but perhaps none more so than Masai Ali, who rushed for 195 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Another signal caller making a difference was Matthew Fizia, who threw for 117 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Center Line was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 157 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.
