The Stockdale Brahmas are taking a road trip to take on the Poth Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Stockdale sitting on five straight wins and Poth on three.
Stockdale had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt Dilley on Friday. The Brahmas breezed past the Wolves to the tune of 42-14. The Brahmas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 24 points or more this season.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stockdale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 364 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Poth on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Cotulla out of the water with a 45-6 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Pirates had established a 25-point advantage.
Poth's win came from a few key players Stockdale will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Payton Helford, who rushed for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Antonio DeHoyos was another key player, picking up 115 receiving yards and three scores.
Stockdale's record now sits at 5-1. As for Poth, their record is now an identical 5-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Stockdale has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 236.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Poth struggles in that department as they've been averaging 166.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Stockdale took a serious blow against Poth when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 55-7. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Brahmas were down 35-7.
