The Bryant Hornets came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 22 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 win over Central. That's two games straight that Bryant has won by exactly two points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bryant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camarion Bead, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Bead has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Trent Ford was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and two steals.
Bryant's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-2. As for Central, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cabot the next time they take the court. Bryant will head out to face Cabot at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Central will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
