Berrien is 3-0 against Jeff Davis since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Berrien Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Berrien and 11 for Jeff Davis.
Berrien suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Worth County, falling 80-45.
Meanwhile, Jeff Davis was beaten by Sumter County 58-14 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Jeff Davis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while Sumter County is ranked 113th).
Berrien has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Jeff Davis, their defeat was their 20th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-16.
Berrien didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jeff Davis in their previous meeting on January 5th, but they still walked away with a 34-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berrien since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
