The Harrold Hornets pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Munday. Harrold has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jariyis Williams was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds for Munday. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Connor Willison, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Munday was without their leading scorer, Mance Phillips, in Tuesday's game. With Phillips sitting this one out, Ethan Flye got some extra time on the court (24 vs. his season average of 10.07).
Harrold now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Munday, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
Harrold will head out on the road to take on Electra at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Harrold's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Munday, they will be playing at home against Crowell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Munday focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
