 In what's become a running theme this season, Black Hills gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  a  14-4 margin over North Thurston. The high-scoring effort was just what Black Hills needed considering they were shutout in their previous   game.
  Ella Goheen made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed six innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Goheen has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Goheen was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Kiley McMahon was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-5.  Kailey Miller was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, sadly, Shelton is still looking for their first win of the season after nine  matches. Their  rough  24-2 defeat to Tumwater  on Wednesday might stick with them for a while.
 Black Hills' win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-7. As for Shelton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
 Everything went Black Hills' way against Shelton in their previous matchup  on April 10th as Black Hills made off with  an  11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Black Hills since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
