The Barren County Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Barren County comes in on three and Allen County-Scottsville on ten.
On Monday, Barren County needed a bit of extra time to put away Green County. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dragons, sneaking past 7-5.

The team relied heavily on Kaitie Elmore, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lily Elmore, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Barren County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Allen County-Scottsville beat Westmoreland 10-5 on Tuesday.
Addison Ausbrooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, Jacie Rice was excellent, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Bailey Gaines also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Barren County's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Allen County-Scottsville, their record now sits at 20-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Barren County hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Allen County-Scottsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.3 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Barren County came up short against Allen County-Scottsville in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 10-7. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
