The Halls Red Devils can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Carter by a score of 63-53. That's another feather in the cap for Halls, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jake Lane continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Chandler Gamble, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Halls' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10. As for Carter, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Halls will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Oak Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Halls likes a good challenge. As for Carter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seymour at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
