The Saratoga Panthers waltzed into their matchup Friday with three straight wins dating back to last season but they left with four. They breezed by Meeteetse on the road to the tune of 69-40. That's another feather in the cap for Saratoga, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Salzman, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Max Potas was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Saratoga's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Meeteetse, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Saratoga will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Rocky Mountain at 1:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Rocky Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. Meeteetse won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Upton at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. Upton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
