4A Special District 1 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Crook County led 4A Special District 1 in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on Madras. Joe Saenz threw for 88 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 52 yards in the win.
Marcus Greaves was the best wideout in the league this week as the Cowboys beat the White Buffaloes. Greaves tallied three receptions for 50 yards. Preston Washechek helped Crook County's passing attack out by catching four balls for 28 yards.
Reece Rollins was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 149 yards as Ridgeview bested Madras. Teammate Boomer Fleming added to the ground attack by rushing for 99 yards.
On the ground, the Ravens' Fleming has rushed for 515 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jack Bowman. The Ridgeview star has six catches for 146 yards.
The Cowboys made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,422 from 10,389. The improvement was the result of 60-52 victory over Richard Wells's team last week.
