Pahrump Valley is a perfect 3-0 against The Meadows School since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Pahrump Valley's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last 12 matches.
Pahrump Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Needles, who was ranked 18th in their home state at the time (Pahrump Valley was ranked 24th). The Trojans skirted past the Mustangs 15-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted against the Mustangs since March 10, 2016.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madison Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Riley Saldana was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
Pahrump Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, The Meadows School made sure to put some runs up on the board against Valley on Monday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 20-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by 12 runs or more this season.
The Meadows School let Leighton Bekhor and Kate Verdirame run wild. Bekhor scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Verdirame went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Noor Khan also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Pahrump Valley's record now sits at 17-7. As for The Meadows School, their record is now 8-10.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pahrump Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .414. However, it's not like The Meadows School struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pahrump Valley took their victory against The Meadows School when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
