The Basic Wolves pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faith Lutheran. Basic has struggled against Faith Lutheran recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Defeat or not, Basic got some senior leadership from Christian Baltierrez and Alvonte' Nelson. Baltierrez scored 19 points, while Nelson. scored 15 points.
Basic's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Faith Lutheran, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Basic will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Del Sol at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Del Sol's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. Faith Lutheran's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bonanza at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
