The Madison Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Mount Abram Roadrunners at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Madison has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Madison took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Oak Hill, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders on Monday, sneaking past 6-4.
Landon Dunham was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dunham was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaeson Almeida, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Mount Abram entered their contest against St. Dominic on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Roadrunners fell just short of the Saints by a score of 7-6.
Bryce Wilcox and Killian Pillsbury did some serious damage despite the final result: Wilcox went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Pillsbury went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Wilcox is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ash Rollins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Madison is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Abram, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Madison suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Mount Abram in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
