Valliant made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kingston, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Redskins with a sharp  12-3 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 11 games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Cameron Jones was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   three  hits. Jones was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in March.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Landyn Howard, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brayden Jones, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Valliant was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kingston only posted a  batting average of  .125.
Valliant's victory  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 14-8. As for Kingston, their defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 7-7.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valliant will square off against Tupelo at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Kingston, they will venture away from home to  square off against Marietta  at 12:00  p.m.  on  the 18th.
