The West Liberty-Salem Tigers will head out to square off against the Greeneview Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Greeneview will be up against a hot West Liberty-Salem team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Tigers put the hurt on Cedarville with a sharp 12-5 victory on Monday. West Liberty-Salem's win was all the more impressive since the Indians were averaging only 3.8 runs allowed on the season.

Brandel Sullivan was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Jeremiah Johnson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
West Liberty-Salem was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .389 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Greeneview made easy work of Northeastern on Monday and carried off a 23-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Jets: they've now won four in a row.
Nick Hassid made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He is becoming a predictor of Greeneview's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-2 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Hassid was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trent Webb, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Matthew Phillips, who went 3-for-6 with three runs and four RBI.
West Liberty-Salem's record is now 12-7. As for Greeneview, their record now sits at 11-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. West Liberty-Salem has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Greeneview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
West Liberty-Salem might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Greeneview when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
