It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Sandhills/Thedford Knights ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 61-52 victory over Sumner-Eddyville-Miller. Sandhills/Thedford's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Sumner-Eddyville-Miller lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cohen Rohde. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryan Arbuthnot, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Sandhills/Thedford pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.
