The biggest upset of the week belonged to State College, who defeated 32nd ranked Harrisburg, 29-7. pat irwin threw for 70 yards and ran for 102 yards in the win.
Malachi Holmes and Manny Gonzalez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Chambersburg. The connection went for 82 yards, the longest such play in Mid-Penn - Commonwealth this season.
Mifflin County's dynamic duo of Brice Christine and Curtis Jerzerick proved tough for Carlisle to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Christine threw for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns and Jerzerick had 106 yards receiving. John Michael Maclay helped Mifflin County's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 81 yards.
The Huskies' dynamic duo of Christine and Jerzerick proved to be unstoppable against the Thundering Herd, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Nate Dickey provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Central Dauphin lost to the Trojans. He completed 10 passes for 130 yards and also ran for 48 yards. Dickey's favorite target this week was Gonzalez, who caught 2 passes for 104 yards.
jordan misher was the best running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 143 yards as the Little Lions defeated Carlisle.
Christine put up the best numbers in passing as George Miskinis' team beat Josh Oswalt's team.
Jerzerick was the best receiver in the league this week as the Huskies topped the Thundering Herd.
6-foot-3 quarterback irwin of State College is the league leader in passing yards this season with 388. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jerzerick. The Mifflin County star has 9 catches for 303 yards.
A big matchup in Mid-Penn - Commonwealth this week will be when Chambersburg takes on Cumberland Valley. As it stands, Mark Saunders' team is in second, while the Eagles are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Trojans take on Cumberland Valley. Chambersburg has allowed 58 points this season, while Michael Whitehead's team has given up 55.
Mifflin County extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Carlisle, 35-14. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Huskies.
