Dublin Coffman is 10-0 against the Wildcats since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Dublin Coffman Shamrocks will be staying on the road to face off against the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Dublin Coffman is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wildcats in Ohio (the Shamrocks are ranked 143rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 308th).
On Wednesday, Dublin Coffman lost to the Monarchs on the road by a decisive 56-37 margin.
Meanwhile, Hilliard Davidson came up short against the Celtics on Tuesday and fell 41-34.
Despite their defeat, Hilliard Davidson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Yuli Dowell, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. Dowell is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Wile, who scored 11 points.
Dublin Coffman's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Hilliard Davidson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Dublin Coffman strolled past the Wildcats in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 45-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dublin Coffman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
