This was payback for Trinity Christian Academy, who suffered a 49-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Trinity Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Lekhy Thompkins, who rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown.
Jackson Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jay'len Mosley, who picked up 62 receiving yards and a touchdown. Mosley was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 61 yards. Easton Jones was another key contributor, picking up 61 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Trinity Christian Academy's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points per game. As for Jackson Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nashville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. As for Jackson Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ezell-Harding Christian. Ezell-Harding Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
