The Fort Lauderdale Flying L's fell victim to the Stranahan Mighty Dragons's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Mighty Dragons 30-0. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, Fort Lauderdale couldn't push the score so high this time.
Rueben Toombs jr was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns. Joshua Hoggins was another key contributor, picking up 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Stranahan's defense and their five sacks. James Lewis was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Fort Lauderdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Stranahan, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.
Fort Lauderdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stranahan will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Cardinal Gibbons at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Cardinal Gibbons presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stranahan in Florida (Cardinal Gibbons is ranked 49th, while Stranahan is ranked 197th).
