The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (John Carroll Catholic is ranked 386th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 378th).
John Carroll Catholic pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-64 to Jensen Beach.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Inlet Grove's strategy against the Gladiators on Friday. Inlet Grove was the clear victor by a 75-54 margin over the Gladiators. Inlet Grove pushed the score to 60-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Gladiators had little chance of recovering from.
Inlet Grove found their leader in underclassman Brown, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Brown has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Cajilus, who scored eight points.
John Carroll Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Inlet Grove, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
