Ralston Valley barely beat Broomfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles on Tuesday. The Mustangs have beaten the Eagles the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Ralston Valley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Broomfield between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-15.

Ralston Valley's offense was headlined by Lily Grau and Rylee Sonnenfeld, who picked up eight kills apiece. Sonnenfeld also shared the team's lead in assists with Taylor Harteker: they picked up 11 each. Finally, Kenzie Brown kept Ralston Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Ralston Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Broomfield, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ralston Valley will challenge Mead at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Broomfield, they will square off against Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
