It was fun while it lasted, but Leonardtown's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Wednesday. They lost to the Arundel Wildcats on the road by a 68-50 margin. The loss was the Raiders' first of the season.

Arundel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ellis Johnson led the charge by going 7 for 15 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoenix Eggleston, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Leonardtown fell to 4-1. As for Arundel, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leonardtown and Calvert will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Leonardtown is facing Calvert at the right time seeing as Calvert is stuck on a four-game losing streak. After both having extra time off, Arundel and Southern will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Arundel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season.
