The Pajaro Valley Grizzlies can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 60-49 victory over North Salinas. The win was just what Pajaro Valley needed coming off of a 73-38 loss in their prior contest.
Logan Bayhonan and David Jauregui certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Bayhonan scored 12 points, while Jauregui scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Jauregui posted two or more blocks.
Pajaro Valley's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16. As for North Salinas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Pajaro Valley will head out on the road to challenge the Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Rancho San Juan's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Grizzlies have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. North Salinas will take on the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
