Spring Grove dropped their record down to 8-4 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 9-6 to the Southland Rebels. As for Southland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games.
For Southland's part, Easton Meyer made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Meyer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
