The Clinton Central Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Tri-County Cavaliers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Clinton Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over Eastern on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Nuriah Harvey spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and five unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Carly Davison was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Richie, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and four RBI.
Clinton Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, while Tri-County put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Seeger. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Cavaliers have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Tri-County let Grace Luck and Bella Dominguez run wild. Luck went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run, while Dominguez got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Luck has posted since back in April of 2024. Kami Wilkerson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Tri-County and bumps their season record up to 18-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Clinton Central, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10.
Clinton Central might still be hurting after the 12-3 loss they got from Tri-County in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
