They took a 76-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Saturday (64), Floyd Central still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Floyd Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nathan Rushing. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brock Conrad, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds.
Evansville Harrison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Malachi Mcnair, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Shane Sims was another key contributor, scoring 24 points.
Floyd Central bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Evansville Harrison, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Floyd Central will finish 2023 at home by hosting Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th. As for Evansville Harrison, they will head out on the road to face off against Bloomington South at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bloomington South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Evansville Harrison is ranked 20th).
