Calallen can attribute much of their success to Ricardo Rodr?guez, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and Sebastian Dennis, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Dennis is becoming a predictor of Calallen's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Nicholas Villanueva was in the mix as well, providing Calallen with a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Tuloso-Midway blew past Hidalgo, posting a 45-7 win on the road. That looming 45-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors & Cherokees yet this season.
Damian Figueroa was his usual excellent self, rushing for 121 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 66 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Braycen Beazell, who threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Tuloso-Midway was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hidalgo only rushed for 24.

Friday's match will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Rodr?guez and Figueroa. For his part, Figueroa has averaged 207.4 rushing yards per game this season.
Calallen strolled past Tuloso-Midway in their previous meeting back in October of 2023 by a score of 17-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calallen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
