Basketball Recap: Powdersville Beats St. Joseph's Catholic for Their Third Straight Win

Powdersville waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 57-48 victory over the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights.

Powdersville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaleel McGee, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave McGee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Von Burton, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points.

Powdersville's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Powdersville will challenge Christ Church Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Powdersville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they will take on Carolina Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph's Catholic is facing Carolina Academy at the right time seeing as Carolina Academy is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
