Thayer Central Gets a Boost from Souerdyke in 60-18 Win
Starting off the list is Thayer Central's Sam Souerdyke, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Souerdyke rushed for 209 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.
Souerdyke and Thayer Central will square off against Exeter-Milligan/Friend at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans had to take a loss when they last met the Bobcats, but Souerdyke had little to do with the loss: he rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Sandy Creek Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Ethan Shaw
Sandy Creek picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ethan Shaw. Shaw did his part (and then some), rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 183 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes for the 'W'. He didn't just play on offense: he also made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended a pass.
Shaw must have Exeter-Milligan/Friend's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Shaw saw the Bobcats), he rushed for 85 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 247 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt.

Connor Rempe Goes Supernova in Sandy Creek Victory
Connor Rempe was instrumental in extending Sandy Creek's winning streak to seven on Friday. Rempe was unstoppable, picking up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 33 yards.
Unfortunately for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Rempe. Rempe picked up 119 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 51 yards the last time he and the Bobcats duked it out back in September of 2023.
