Marianna is a perfect 5-0 against Altha since February of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.
Marianna is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Mosley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Dolphins, falling 7-1.

Riley Adkinson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. He has become a key player for Marianna: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Marianna saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bowen Barber, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Altha hadn't done well against Wakulla Christian School recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Saints. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Riley Rowe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Griffin Pickron was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Grover, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Altha and bumps their season record up to 12-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Marianna, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Marianna took their win against Altha in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-0 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
