Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Murphy walked away with it. They came out on top against the Bethany Community Wolves by a score of  7-3  on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
 Paisley Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Julia Dockery, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Aiden Smith was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Murphy's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Bethany Community,  with the  loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-7.
 Murphy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  9-6  win against Uwharrie Charter Academy on the 14th. Bethany Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
