The Mary Walker Chargers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Columbia as Mary Walker made off with a 57-34 win. The victory was just what Mary Walker needed coming off of a 79-58 loss in their prior game.
Teko Cates continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Andru Pinyan, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Mary Walker's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Columbia, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Mary Walker will be playing at home against the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Curlew focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Saturday. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Almira-Coulee-Hartline knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully the Lions like a good challenge.
