Towson is 0-3 against Milford Mill Academy since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Towson Generals will head out on the road to take on the Milford Mill Academy Millers at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Towson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday.
Towson pushed their score all the way to 56, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dulaney. Towson has struggled against Dulaney recently, as their matchup on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Towson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Seven Wheeler, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wheeler has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Quint Fryer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Milford Mill Academy posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. They blew past Lansdowne 60-35. Given Milford Mill Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Lansdowne is ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Towson now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Milford Mill Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.
Towson might still be hurting after the 75-53 defeat they got from Milford Mill Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Towson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
